TL;DR: Reviews landed in this release. Rate any airport on five things that actually matter in a terminal. Rate an airline from a flight you took, which Goafie verifies before it counts. That second rule is the whole point: a carrier’s star rating is the average of real journeys.
Rate the airport, on the things you actually notice
Open any airport in Goafie and there is a star chip at the top of the pull-up card, sitting next to the airport code. It shows the average and how many travellers have weighed in. Tap it and the full picture opens: the overall score, the spread from five stars down to one, and five separate category ratings.
Those five are Security, Terminal, Food and shops, Wi-Fi, and Getting around. They are the things people actually remember about a terminal. How long the queue was and how the checkpoint was run. Whether the place was clean and whether there was anywhere to sit. Whether the food airside was worth the money. Whether the Wi-Fi was free and usable, not just advertised. And whether the signage and the walk between gates made sense.
You do not have to rate all five. Score what you noticed and leave the rest blank. Each category averages only over the people who actually rated it, so a score is never padded out by everyone who skipped it. That is why an airport can sit at 4.6 for Wi-Fi and 3.8 for Security at the same time, with different numbers of votes behind each.
Airport reviews are open to anyone with the app. You do not need a logged flight, and that is deliberate. Plenty of the strongest airport opinions come from a connection you did not choose, a delay you did not deserve, or a pickup that ran two hours long.
Rate the airline, but only one you actually flew
Airline reviews work differently, on purpose.
You rate a carrier from a flight, not from a search box, and only after that flight has departed. The flight also has to be one you have in Goafie. Both of those are checked on our side before the review is accepted, not just hidden in the app.
The categories are Boarding, Crew, Comfort, Food and drink, and Screen and Wi-Fi. Gate experience and how boarding was handled. Attentiveness in the cabin. Seat, legroom and the state of the aircraft. What was served, and whether it was worth it. Then entertainment and connectivity, which for most people are now the same complaint.
The result is a carrier average built from real journeys instead of opinions. It gathers more slowly than an open review site would, and that is the trade we wanted. A four star average from people who were definitely on the plane is worth more than a four star average from anyone with an account.
You will see that rating exactly where it is useful: on the flight screen, in the airline card, under the carrier name. Stars, the average, and the number of reviews behind it, while you are looking at the flight you are about to take.
Your reviews stay yours
Everything you write lives under Me, then Account, then My Reviews. You can edit any of it in place, and editing updates the average straight away.
Two limits are worth knowing about. There is one review per flight, so submitting again edits what you already wrote instead of stacking up a second. And there is a cap of two airline reviews per carrier in any rolling 24 hours. If you cannot write one right now, the button is disabled and a small pill tells you why before you tap it, rather than after.
Frequently asked questions
How do I review an airport in Goafie?
Open the airport from the map or from any flight, then tap the star chip at the top of the card. Give it an overall score, rate as many of the five categories as you want, add a note if you feel like it, and submit.
Do I need to have flown somewhere to review its airport?
No. Airport reviews are open to anyone signed in. Connections, delays and airport pickups all count as knowing the place.
How do I review an airline?
Open a flight you have added to Goafie, wait until it has departed, then tap Rate this flight in the airline card. Goafie checks that the flight is yours and that it has actually left before the review counts.
Where do I see an airline’s star rating?
On the flight screen, in the airline card under the carrier name, along with how many reviews are behind the average.
Can I edit a review after I write it?
Yes. Go to Me, then Account, then My Reviews. Everything you have written is there and editable, and the averages update when you change something.
How many reviews can I leave?
One per airport, and one per flight. Submitting again edits the existing one. Airline reviews are also capped at two per carrier per rolling 24 hours.
Reviews are live now on iOS and Android in version 1.9.9. Get the app at goafie.com.
